A military robot is a machine that has been designed to replace human soldiers. These machines do not need to be fed, sleep, or hide from the elements. They do not have feelings, passions or emotions. It is possible to reduce the amount of unethical behavior soldiers can display. Aside from that, they are not subject to the same strains, fatigue, stress and fatigue as human soldiers.
AVATAR 3
AVATAR III, a military robot, is highly customizable unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV). The robot includes a plug-and play payload dock that allows users the flexibility to make it work for them. The robot can target, detect and eliminate moving forces and is completely customizable. The AVATAR III also has the same tactical capabilities and features as its larger brother, the AVATAR IIITactical Robot. It also features dual IR and LED lights and a rugged drop-resistant chassis.
The AVATAR III's capabilities go well beyond the battlefield. It can help law enforcement and first responders better assess and respond to dangerous situations. It is extremely rugged and customizable. It can work on multiple wireless channels simultaneously and has dual-channel audio. The robot can also navigate across a variety terrain types and environments, making them an excellent choice to aid in law enforcement and combat operations.
REDOWL
iRobot is developing REDOWL, a robotic military vehicle. It is based in neural-network technology, which mimics nerve cell behavior. The REDOWL has no programming language, so it is not like other robots. Instead, it learns by trial and errors. It can recognize gunshots, and it can guess the direction of sound. The machine then learns the difference between what it guesses and where the sound is actually located and repeats the process. It continues to learn by doing this, and gradually forms a neural connection with sound source.
The REDOWL military robot has an array of acoustic and optics systems to determine the source of gunfire and is attached to a packbot, which is a miniature robot tank. The modified Xbox controller is used to control the robot. It is capable of entering dangerous buildings and can spot gunfire within milliseconds. It has two wide-angle cameras as well as a thermal imaging camera that can identify targets. This makes it ideal for daytime urban surveillance, hostage/barcade situations, perimeter protection missions, and surveillance.
MUTT
The MUTT military robot has many uses, from assisting ground forces in combat to carrying out remote operations. The robot's advanced technology makes it a great tool to reduce the burden on ground forces. The robot can be controlled remotely and teleoperated from anywhere. This allows for increased protection against enemy threats and better projection of combat power. Its flexibility allows it to be modified to accept new payloads, controllers or increase levels of autonomy.
The GDLS developed the MUTT military robot. It is based on the Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport program. This program is designed push the boundaries of autonomous operations, and shift the paradigm for manned-unmanned warfare. It is expected to be ready for deployment to IBCTs in 2022. It comes with varying levels autonomy and can fire directly and indirectly, as well as autonomous resupply. It is capable of counter-drone missions.
BigDog
Boston Dynamics has developed a military robot called BigDog. The robot can travel long distances and carry supplies and soldiers. Developed to run over a variety of terrains, BigDog can also traverse enemy positions and minefields. This makes it an ideal way to strengthen a unit without putting them in danger. Its solid and reliable design allows it to transport a wide range of items.
Boston Dynamics, the company behind the BigDog, has been working with DARPA to improve the military robot. The BigDog is a military robot that can cross many types of terrains, and provide supplies for soldiers in the field. AlphaDog is another DARPA-sponsored military robotic designed to help spearhead combat formations.
