JF-17 Block #3

The JF-17 Block 3 multirole fighter is lightweight and was first flown in late 2019. The JF-17 Block 3 is widely considered a 4.5-generation aircraft that has many notable improvements over its predecessors. It features advanced avionics and weapons capabilities, giving it considerable advantages over its rival fighters from India - a large majority of which lack similar radars or missiles.

It is Pakistan's most modern fleet and boasts a highly sophisticated radar, weaponry and avionics suite. Pakistani government plans to purchase at minimum 50 of these aircraft. First JF-17 Block 3s should arrive in late 2019.

The Pakistani JF-17 fighter is a crucial part of their arsenal. This highly-capable, air-to–air fighter can be used for all missions, including ground strikes. It has also been shown to be a very effective weapon against Indian missile defense systems.

The JF-17 can modernize fighter units at a lower cost and allows them to use cutting-edge data links, sensors, and weaponry. It could be used to replace many of Pakistan's Cold War-era Mirage or J-7 fighters.
