The Turkish government announced plans to test an innovative loitering munition. This was reported in military weapons news. It will be on display at the Istanbul defense expo in October 2022. The technology is big business for defense firms, and the device typically costs between $50,000 and $150,000. However, it still needs further development before it is ready to be fielded. It could be used to establish U.S. Air Force bases in remote locations if it is successful.
The principal killer of canon artillery
Cannon artillery is one of the most deadly military weapons on the battlefield. Cannon artillery was responsible in part for the deaths and injuries of two-thirds, or all, of World War I's western front soldiers. It caused severe damage to entire bodies, dismemberment and even death. Concussions and shell shock were common side effects of the blast. Shooting and gas attacks were also possible sources of injury.
