China's First Subsonic H-20 Bomber

Military Tech

China is working on the stealth-bomber design Xian H-20. It is being considered a strategic project by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). It is expected to enter service in the 2020s. China's subsonic stealth bomber, Xian H-20, is its first.

Xian X-20

The Xian H-20 bomber is China's next-generation subsonic stealth bomber design. This new aircraft is considered a strategic project by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). The 2020s are expected to see the entry of this bomber into service. China will make this the first ever dedicated strategic bomber.

The H-20 will complement China's current fleet of H-6N bombers, enabling it to perform nuclear missions. The H-20 bomber is capable of carrying nuclear-tipped ALCMs. It could also be used for aerial displays against enemies. China will be able to increase its strike range and bring in rival countries.

The H-20 has stealthy looks and a long range. Its wings can be folded and straightened for increased stealth. Although this could make it less visible it would still be a great improvement on the H-6.

Xian Y-20U refueling variant for indigenous airlifter

China's Xian Y-20U wing tip refueling type of its indigenous Airlifter is on the horizon. These aircraft will be used by the Chinese military to increase its aerial refueling capabilities. PLAAF's tanker fleet currently consists of H-6 planes, which have a limited range and can transport only 30 tons fuel. The Y-20U's better performance makes it a viable option when flying aerial tanker missions.

The Y-20U, an indigenous airlifter, is designed for long-range missions. The Xian Y-20U's advanced aerodynamics, high-performance engines, and extended flight range could allow the PLA to increase its reach and increase the range of its fighters. A Y-20U will also be a significant asset for future Pacific missions.

The Y-20U has a similar design to the Soviet-era Il-78 Midas. It is the same size as an Il-78 Midas and has three refuelling points on its wings.

Xian Y-20U stealth aircraft

China's most advanced stealth plane, the Y-20U stealth fighter bomber, is now available. The Y-20U stealth bomber can carry cargo up to 66 tonnes and has an operational range exceeding 7,800 km. China plans on using the aircraft more often. More than 20 of the aircraft are in production.

China's Y-20 has been used for many purposes, including aerial refuelling to the Chinese military. The Y-20's low flight profile and large fuel tank make it a versatile weapon that is better than Western jets. Because of its endurance, it is a viable export candidate to foreign clients.

The Y-20U could play a critical role in a potential military intervention in Taiwan. China has regularly threatened the island and has warned that it is preparing to launch a military operation in the next few years. Beijing considers Taiwan a "rogue" province and is working to disengage Taiwan from its mainland. The Chinese government has repeatedly stated they will stop Taiwan from declaring independence. The Y-20 is likely to play a significant role in this.
